A few weeks ago, I found myself feeling overwhelmed, like I was walking through a fog. I was going through the motions of life, but it seemed like everything was out of my control. I wasn’t sure where I was headed, and frankly, I needed a shift. That’s when I decided to do something different. Instead of just making a list of things I wanted from God, I felt led to create something that would not only give me hope but would also partner with God in a tangible way. That’s how I ended up creating my own vision board, a vision that truly reflects the life I want to live, the life I believe God is calling me to.
It all started with a 3-day Esther fast, no food, no water. If you’ve read my previous post on fasting, you know that I entered this time seeking guidance, clarity, and renewal. It was during this fast that I realized instead of just listing out my wishes and desires for God to fulfill, I needed to visualize what my life could look like through His guidance and vision. This was a time to reset, recalibrate, and invite God into the process of rebranding my life.
Creating My Vision Board with Canva: Partnering with God
I could have easily jotted down my hopes and goals in a notebook, but I knew I needed something more impactful. I needed a visual representation that would constantly remind me of the Proverbs 31 woman I was striving to become. I needed to see it every day. So, I turned to Canva, my go-to tool for everything creative, and started building a vision board.
I didn’t just throw random pictures together. I intentionally picked images and quotes that reflected the best version of myself—the Proverbs 31 woman I wanted to embody. As I clicked through Canva, adding photos, affirmations, and visions of what I wanted to manifest in my life, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and direction. I wasn’t just creating a board; I was creating a visual prayer, a reminder that God has a vision for my life, and I’m partnering with Him to make that happen.
This vision board, or as I like to call it “The Blueprint for My Best Life”, became a sacred space for me to pray, reflect, and grow. I printed it out and posted it right in front of my toilet (yes, I said it!). Why? Because I knew that every time I went to the bathroom, I would see it, I would smile, and I would be reminded of the life I was stepping into with God. Instead of mindlessly scrolling on my phone (don’t act like you don’t do it too, lol), I would be looking at my vision and praying over it.
It’s been up for two weeks now, and every time I see it, it fills me with joy and hope. It gives me something to look forward to and helps me gain perspective on my life. When I feel discouraged, I look at the board and remember what I’m working towards with God’s guidance. It’s not just a vision it’s a promise from God, reminding me that He has big plans for me, even when life feels uncertain.
The Proverbs 31 Woman: Qualities to Strive For
So, what exactly is on my vision board? The qualities I’ve added are based on the Proverbs 31 woman, a woman I deeply admire. Here’s a list of the qualities I want to embody, along with the verses that reflect them:
- She is trustworthy
“Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.”
— Proverbs 31:11 - She is hardworking
“She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.”
— Proverbs 31:13 - She is wise and speaks with kindness
“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
— Proverbs 31:26 - She is a good steward of her finances
“She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.”
— Proverbs 31:16 - She cares for her family
“She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”
— Proverbs 31:27 - She is clothed in strength and dignity
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
— Proverbs 31:25 - She fears the Lord
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
— Proverbs 31:30
Your Challenge: Create Your Own Vision Board
Now, I want to challenge you to create your own vision board or “Blueprint for Your Best Life” with God. Partner with Him in this process. Ask Him what He wants for you, what He’s calling you to, and then visualize it. Use Canva, print it out, and hang it somewhere you’ll see it every day. When you look at it, remember that God is helping you bring your vision to life. It’s a partnership, and He’s got your back.
Here’s your challenge: Create your vision board, share it with me, and let me know how it changes your life. What new perspective does it give you? How does it shape your daily life and goals? I can’t wait to hear how it works for you, sis.
Let’s keep growing together! 💖
